Help with the Brooo iPhone app · Updated 20 September 2026

If you need help right now

Brooo is a companion app, not a crisis service. It cannot call anyone for you and it is not always available. If you or someone else is in danger:

Get in touch

Email brooo@meterstone.studio. That address reaches the people who build Brooo — for bugs, questions, account problems, privacy requests, and parent or guardian enquiries.

It helps enormously if you include:

Brooo is beta software and we are a small team, so please allow a few days for a reply.

Delete your account and all of its data

In the app: Settings › Sessions › Delete Account

This is immediate and permanent. It erases everything the server holds for that account: your profile, your whole conversation, the memories Brooo wrote about you, your Apple Health summaries, your reminder schedule and reminders, your check-in record, your sign-in tokens, any linked Discord identity, and the server activity log. It cannot be undone and we cannot restore it.

Deleting the app from your iPhone does not delete the account — it only removes the app and its on-device data. If you can no longer open the app, email brooo@meterstone.studio with your account ID and we will delete it for you.

If you only want to step away, Sign Out in the same screen keeps the account, and Forget removes it from this device’s list without deleting anything on the server.

Report something Brooo said

In the chat: press and hold the message › Report

Tell us briefly what was wrong. We store that message and your reason so a person here can review it; the report is deleted if you delete your account. Please report anything harmful, false, sexual, cruel or just plain strange — it is the single most useful thing you can do to make Brooo better. Urgent safety concerns are better sent straight to brooo@meterstone.studio, and a real emergency belongs with the numbers at the top of this page.

Turn Apple Health access off (or back on)

iOS Settings › Privacy & Security › Health › Brooo

Switch off any category, or use Turn Off All. You can also open the Health app › your profile picture › Privacy & Security › Apps and Services › Brooo.

Brooo only ever asks to read Health data — it never writes anything into Apple Health. When you switch a category off, the app stops reading it and stops including it in the daily summary it uploads. Summaries already on the server stay until you delete your account; see the Privacy Policy.

Turning access back on is the same screen. If Brooo does not seem to see new data, check that the categories are on here, open the app once in the foreground, and make sure your iPhone has been unlocked since your last sleep session — iOS releases some Health data only after an unlock.

Common questions

Brooo is not sending reminders

Check three things: notifications are allowed in iOS Settings › Notifications › Brooo; your daily moments are set in Settings › Daily Moments in the app; and reminder delivery is switched on for iPhone (or Discord) in the same section. Reminders are scheduled by the app on your own phone, so they need the app to have been opened recently.

I forgot my password

If you signed up with Apple, there is no password: tap Continue with Apple on the sign-in screen. Otherwise, Brooo has no email address for you, so there is no automatic password reset. Email brooo@meterstone.studio from a device you still have signed in, or start a fresh account. A password must be at least 8 characters.

Discord linking

In the app, Settings › Discord walks through it: add the bot, generate a six-character code, then run /link code:XXXXXX in any Discord chat. Codes expire after ten minutes and work once. /unlink, or the unlink button in Settings, removes the link and deletes the stored Discord user ID. Linking is entirely optional.

Brooo said something wrong about my health numbers

Brooo reads the numbers already in Apple Health and does not check them. A broken sensor, a missing night of sleep or a second app writing bad data all show up in Brooo. It is not a medical device and gives no medical advice — check anything that worries you with a doctor or another qualified adult.

Can a parent or guardian ask about an account?

Yes. Write to brooo@meterstone.studio. Brooo is for ages 13 and over; if an account belongs to someone under 13 we delete it.
